On November 1, 2024, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) initiated the first sunset review of anti-dumping and countervailing duties on carbon and alloy steel threaded rod imported from China, India, Thailand, and Taiwan, as well as the first sunset review of anti-dumping duties on carbon and alloy steel threaded rod imported from China and India, to investigate whether the substantial injury caused by the imports to the US domestic industry will continue or recur if the current anti-dumping and countervailing duties are lifted in a reasonably foreseeable period. On November 4, 2024, the US Department of Commerce issued a notice announcing the initiation of the first sunset review of anti-dumping duties on carbon and alloy steel threaded rod imported from China, India, Thailand, and Taiwan, as well as the first sunset review of anti-dumping duties on carbon and alloy steel threaded rod imported from China and India. Interested parties should file their responses within 10 days of the publication of this notice. Interested parties should submit their responses to the USITC by December 2, 2024, and submit their comments on the adequacy of the responses by January 2, 2025, at the latest.
